Abstract

Three studies tested whether higher correlated color temperature (CCT) of light, which contains higher proportion of short-wavelength light and is associated with higher alertness state, can reduce mental effort, operationalized as cardiovascular response. Results show that light exposure duration might be important for light’s CCT effects on mobilized effort.
