Abstract
Previous research has found widespread belief that there exist natural cures for cancer that are suppressed. This experiment with undergraduates (n = 108) used different refutation messages of this conspiracy theory, but failed to significantly reduce such beliefs, but may have influenced some attitudes toward cancer prevention, screening or research.
