Improving Classroom Learning through Interleaved Pretests

Abstract

We implemented blocked and interleaved practice pretests at the beginning of eight lessons in an abnormal psychology class. Performance on the final exam was better for concepts that were pretested than not, and concepts that were interleaved than blocked.
