Abstract

This study examines (1) to what extent do African-American adolescents’ anticipation of future discrimination change over time, and (2) to what extent does this change relate to racial identity? Results will be discussed towards increasing understanding of the buffering effect racial identity has on negative outcomes of discrimination for African-Americans.
