Abstract

The present study examined the relationship between effortful control (EC) and emotion regulation strategies in two adult samples. Results indicate a link between EC and reappraisal, but not to suppression. These results strongly support the theoretical link between EC and emotion regulation, which has rarely been tested in adult samples.
