Abstract
Eighteen adults listened to seven modal-music (2-minute-long each) and EEG, HR, and respiration were monitored. Mixed-Design-ANOVAs followed by post-hoc-tests suggested that men had lower EEG-beta-power than women during Dorian on F3/F7(p<.05), during Phrygian on F3(p<.05), and during Ionian on F4(p<.05), lower HR during Dorian/Phrygian(p<.05), and lower respiration rate during Dorian/Ionian(P<.05).
