Abstract

We examined the impact of cultural, psychological, and behavioral factors on a biological measure of treatment adherence among culturally diverse patients with Type 2 diabetes. Structural equation modeling revealed that cultural beliefs about social influence impact HbA1c through diet self-efficacy and diabetes self-care behaviors.
