The Effect of Group Gender on Leadership Strategies

Abstract
In two studies, one pre-registered, people said they would lead groups of men in a less democratic, and more autocratic and dominant way compared to groups of women. This effect was mediated by perceptions of group members’ warmth and beliefs about the necessity of asserting leadership with each group.
