Abstract
The current study evaluated whether parenting attitudes/behaviors of mothers with a history of substance abuse moderated the relationship between obesity and internalizing symptoms among adolescents. A significant interaction indicated that obese girls experiencing higher levels of physical discipline were more vulnerable to internalizing symptoms compared to non-obese girls.
