Impacts of Working Memory Capacity and Accuracy during Strategy Use on Retrieval Performance

Abstract

Participants were instructed to use a practice retrieval strategy one week prior to a recall test of a passage. Number of correct statements during practice retrieval, but not number of errors (incorrect statements), predicted verbatim recall and inference performance. Working memory capacity did not predict performance.
