Abstract
The effects of anxiety dimensions (apprehension and arousal) were tested on working memory performance and the salience network (SN). Arousal was associated with poorer task efficiency. Apprehension, but not arousal, was associated with increased SN connectivity. Results demonstrate differential effects of apprehension and arousal on task performance and SN connectivity.
