Abstract

This study examined the effect of race (black vs. white) and a communal vs. dominant leadership style following expressions of anger in a challenging situation. While dominant leaders were evaluated more negatively than communal leaders, white female leaders were penalized most for displaying the dominant leadership style with their team.
