Abstract

The effects of word valence (positive vs. neutral) and matched versus mismatched encoding and retrieval mood on DRM false memory were examined in one-hundred-nineteen undergraduate volunteers. An ROC analysis suggests that for false memory for negative critical lures, the ROCs fit a continuous model rather than a dual-process model.
