Abstract

The present study examined the associations among purposeful physical exercise, tendency to engage in cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation strategies, and internalizing symptoms, and whether the tendency to cognitively reappraise mediates the effect of purposeful exercise on internalizing symptomatology. All variables were measured using self-report.
