Examining the Relationship between Children’s Gender Identity and Own-Gender Favoritism Using the Dual-Identity Approach

Abstract
Children’s gender identity, subtly measured as similarity to both their own gender and the other gender, and own gender favorability (gender bias) were assessed. Stronger identification with other-gender targets and weaker identification with own-gender targets were associated with less gender bias.
