Visual Recognition Memory Span in Children

Abstract

A visual serial recognition memory task was used to assess the memory span from 280 children ages 3 to 15, for positions, colors and objects. Results showed an increase of memory span with age for all three types of stimuli, with a significant advantage of objects and colors over positions.
