Predicting Nationalist Conservatism Based on Cultural Axioms

We examined social (cultural) axioms and ethical positions as predictors of the “conservative syndrome”, assessed via authoritarianism, nationalism and social dominance orientation, controlling for demographics. A college student sample revealed authoritarianism and nationalism to be related to higher levels of fate control and lower levels of reward for application.
