Behavioral Approach and Fear Moderates the Relationship between Insensitive and Intrusive Parenting on Early Language Development

The present study examined the interaction between caregiving and infant temperament (N=150) in association with early language. Results showed a significant interaction such that when children were high in approach, there was a negative association between intrusive/insensitive caregiving and children’s language outcomes.
