Comparing Relaxation Versus Mastery Micro-Break Activity: A within-Task Recovery Perspective

Abstract
This study examined whether momentary recovery was possible and if it facilitated subsequent performance. Results suggest those who received a break had higher performance and psychological detachment compared to those who did not receive a break, and suggest future work should include mastery and relaxation activities in exploring momentary recovery.
