Abstract
Women’s self-efficacy communicating with physicians, measured with an established inventory, predicted their experiences receiving contraceptives. Women with lower self-efficacy communicating with physicians did not know what type of contraceptive they wanted prior to talking to the physician and indicated decreased likelihood of receiving information on all the contraceptive options available.
