Abstract

This study applies advanced psychometric techniques to gain new insight into mate preference development. We examine the phenotypic structure of twin preferences and their parents' personality characteristics through exploratory factor analyses with robust standard errors. We then compare the factor-derived scales, quantifying whether individuals select partners resembling their parents.
