Abstract

In a sample of ethnic minority, low-income mothers, frequency of conflict engagement was inversely associated with coparenting relationship quality. Cohabiting status moderated this association, such that the association was stronger for non-cohabiting mothers. Conflict engagement may be a particularly important predictor of coparenting relationship quality for non-cohabiting parents.
