Abstract

This study examined the interactive effects of forgiveness and acetaminophen on social pain over 21 days in the context of a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial. Results suggest that forgiveness enhances the social pain-reducing effects of acetaminophen, providing new understanding regarding how psychological and pharmacological interventions interact to reduce social pain.
