Abstract

This study explores the relationship between known consumer perceptions of U.S. commercial airlines and decisions made by leadership. Data from decade-long survey of U.S. air passengers is combined with performance indices, financial data, and major organizational announcements indicative of leadership decisions. Implications for organizations and consumer behavior researchers are discussed.
