Abstract

Relations between anonymous internet harassment, “trolling,” social distance, and impulsivity were assessed. Social distance was established through a self-report of metaphorical distance between the participants’ relationships. Delay discounting defined impulsivity. Vignettes simulated anonymous internet feedback opportunities. A significant correlation was found between trolling and social distance, but impulsivity.
