Perceived Person-Job Fit and Relative Abilities and Interests for Popular Occupational Fields

Abstract

Person-job fit showed patterns of cognitive abilities and interests for occupational fields. For RIASEC patterns, highs/lows were as expected and informative. For cognitive abilities, highs/lows followed expected patterns--with numerical ability, creativity, and verbal abilities being high for the fields of business & finance, education, and law & communications, respectively.
