Importance of Contingencies of Self-Worth Interacts with Stability of Self-Esteem on Choice of Domain for Additional Feedback.

Participants were given positive feedback about self-contingency, then selected another aspect of self to get more information. Interactions were found. Following feedback about an unimportant aspect of the self, stable self-esteem participants chose an important aspect and unstable self-esteem participants chose an unimportant aspect of the self for additional information.
