“I’m Scared and Worried about My Future:” Adolescents Respond to the Election of Donald Trump

Adolescents provided open-ended responses about the election of Donald Trump. Data were coded for affect. The majority of the participants reported negative feelings including worry, hopelessness, and fear, whereas just a small minority had positive feelings. A subsection of the sample also described the salience of race/ethnicity including racism.
