Abstract

This study examined depressed mood and loneliness as predictors of suicide risk (viz., hopelessness & suicidal behaviors) in Latino college students. Regression analyses indicated that both depressed mood and loneliness were unique predictors of risk. Moreover, evidence for an interaction effect was found. Implications for working with Latinos are discussed.
