Assessing the Differential Impact of Physical and Psychological Intimate Partner Violence on Psychopathology and Coping

This study examined how different forms of intimate partner violence (IPV) victimization predicts reported psychopathology. Both psychological and physical victimization predict a unique portion of the variance in psychopathology. Additional analyses examined differences in coping between victim groups. Results are discussed in terms their clinical and research implications.
