What Characteristics of First Suicide Attempts Predict Subsequent Suicidal Behavior?

This study examined whether characteristics of a first suicide attempt predict whether an adolescent will go on to make one or more future attempts. Older age at first attempt and receipt of treatment following the first attempt were associated with lower odds of subsequent suicide attempts.
