Attentional Control, Cognitive Load, and Reaction Time for Truthful and Deceptive Responses.

Abstract

We examined the relation between Attentional Control (AC) and Cognitive Load on reaction time for deceptive and truthful responses. We found a significant 3-way interaction such that AC related to reaction time in generating deceptive relative to truthful responses, but only when individuals were under a high cognitive load.
