Abstract

Older adults score higher in dispositional mindfulness than younger adults, but reasons as to why are unknown. Participants completed two measures of mindfulness and three questions about time perspective. Older adults’ focus on the present time perspective, but not past or future, partly accounted for the age difference in mindfulness.
