Abstract

We investigated across-subject correlations in the spectra of EEG evoked by real-world musical works at various tempos. Strong spectral coherence at discrete low frequencies corresponds to meaningful subdivisions of the musical beat of each song. These results suggest that the EEG frequency-tagging approach is feasible for complex, naturalistic musical stimuli.
