Abstract

Although attachment insecurity and emotional abuse are associated with psychopathology, the mechanisms explaining these relationships are poorly understood. Functional connectivity tested the effects of attachment insecurity and emotional abuse on a known network of cognitive control. Results demonstrated that attachment insecurity and emotional abuse were associated with decreased network connectivity.
