Abstract
In a sample of 150 parent-child dyads with histories of child welfare involvement, insecure (i.e., dismissing and preoccupied) parental attachment representations predicted observed child behavior dysregulation when children were 3 and 4 years old. Findings highlight the importance of attachment-based prevention efforts for high-risk children.
