Abstract
This study investigated the mediation effects of parenting styles on the intergenerational transmission of emotion regulation. We found that the relation between parent’s use of cognitive reappraisal and child’s adaptive emotion regulation was completely mediated by parental warmth among parents with siblings, but mediation was partial among the only-born parents.
