Abstract
Blood oxygen level dependent signals were collected when volunteers performed mental rotation of rotated hand drawings under different arm postures. Congruent hand drawings (that congruent with right hand posture) evoked different activations compared with feet drawings, which suggest that biomechanical constraints affect cognitive processing of mental rotation.
