Arranging Icons on the Smartphone - Construal Level Matters

63% of sixty-three iPhone users arranged their icons based on “usage” while 24% of them organized according to “relatedness”. Concreteness of icon organizing criterion was related to construal level of the participant. Lower (higher) construal level participants were more likely to organize their icons based on usage (relatedness).
