Abstract

This study compared retinal vessel diameters of 55 heavy cannabis users and 49 comparison individuals to test whether cannabis use is associated with subclinical signs of cardiovascular risk in young adults. Heavy cannabis use was associated with wider arteriolar diameter, which has been linked to heart failure, diabetes, and retinopathy.
