An Evaluation of Personal Distress and Social Media Behaviors within the Millennial Generation

This study identified associations between social media usage and behaviors and high personal distress scores by surveying 504 undergraduate students through an online assessment. High personal distress was significantly associated with higher scores of social media intensity, need for social media, and addiction to social media.
