Abstract

Psychopathy appears weakly correlated with life history, despite commonalities between them. When subtraits of the Triarchic Psychopathy Measure were analyzed, Disinhibition and Meanness had strong positive relations to life history, but Boldness’ negative correlation created a masking effect for general psychopathy. These findings emphasize a componential approach to assessing psychopathy.
