Talk about Good: Social Support for Positive Events and the Fulfillment of Epistemic Needs

Active-constructive capitalization, or responding to good news in an enthusiastic manner, imparts individual and relational benefits. Using a lab study of couples, we extended these benefits to a new outcome: shared reality, fulfillment of epistemic and relational motivations through commonality of inner states.
