Abstract

Despite much theoretical discussion of transdiagnostic mechanisms, empirical evidence is sparse. The current study examined the relationship between four transdiagnostic processes and symptom severity of five mental disorders in structural equation modeling. The three models consisting of experiential avoidance, rumination, or maladaptive cognitions provided an excellent fit to our data.
