Abstract

A meta-analysis was conducted to assess the correlations between academic dishonesty and 21 variables across three domains of individual differences: traits, attitudes, and demographics. Psychopathy (r= .41), neutralization (r= .36), and impulsivity (r= .31) were the strongest predictors of dishonesty. Demographic and Big Five variables were weak predictors of dishonesty.
