Abstract
Seventy-Nine English speakers matched and labeled twenty-three colors to ten emotion words via an online survey. We examined consistency for color-emotion pairings and linguistic influence on shared agreement. Color agreement was found for three emotions: anger, happy, and sadness. In addition, language significantly influenced color-emotion agreement.
