Abstract
Preoperative anxiety often goes unaddressed in spine surgery. Here we survey North American spine surgeons to ask them about their preferences for its measurement and management. Although most spine surgeons do not measure preoperative anxiety, most used preoperative education and family presence to reduce it among patients.
