Seeking Applications: The Impact of Gender Bias Awareness on Hireability

Abstract

Impacts of gender bias awareness (GBA) on male and female participants’ hireability ratings of a female interview candidate were studied. Results show hireability ratings are largely consistent between males and females without GBA. Ratings diverge when in participants with GBA (p = .043). Implications and further research objectives are discussed.
