Abstract

GMH poster competition

Sentiment analysis using R’s qdap package may be an efficient tool for qualitative research. However, no known studies have compared qdap-rated sentiment to human-rated sentiment. We found that qdap assigned weaker sentiment ratings than human coders, and we offer suggestions for future research in software-rated sentiment.
