Abstract

Sadness is often deemed as unpleasant but does that make it bad? We studied whether the evaluative value judgments (goodness/badness) are distinct from hedonic value judgments of emotions (pleasantness/unpleasantness). Furthermore, we examined how cultural background of individuals may influence their valuation of emotions.
